My name is Dan Capron. I am an Eagle Scout, retired Naval Officer and businessman. I am an avid shooter, qualified as an “Expert Pistol Marksman” and “Expert Rifle Marksman” in the Navy and have been awarded numerous rifle Marksmanship awards by the National Rifle Association. During my 24+ years in the Navy, I traveled the world serving on 7 submarines, a destroyer, a cruiser and an aircraft carrier. Additionally, I held staff positions at the Pentagon, diplomatic staff positions at the US Embassies in Minsk, Belarus and Almaty, Kazakhstan and led diplomatic missions to nuclear facilities throughout the Former Soviet Union. I hold degrees from Southern Illinois University and Naval Postgraduate School and doctoral studies at The George Washington University.
In civilian life, I have held numerous management positions in the Pest Control industry; I am currently District Manager for Dodson Brothers Pest Control in Charlotte. I hold Basic Instructor, Pistol Instructor, Home Firearm Safety and Range Safety Officer Certifications from the National Rifle Association and am certified as a Concealed Carry Handgun Instructor by the NC Department of Justice.
Married to Mary Jane (Vickers) Capron, we have 4 children of which 3 serve actively in the Army National Guard (1 in Florida, 2 in North Carolina).
